Across the nation, schools have been actively participating in what has come to be known as the Every 15 Minutes program, emphasized on enlightening juniors and seniors on the danger of mixing alcohol and driving. Those who can drive and those who cannot  are shown a staged event where students are tragically killed in a drunk driving accident. This scene is equipped with all the real elements of a catastrophe, from fake blood and bruises, to a helicopter escorting them to a hospital.

Those students are then sent to stay in a hotel to have their families and friends experience what life would be like if the student had been ripped away due to this horrific incident. Gravestones are placed around the school, as a reminder of the students that died, and those who had classes with the “dead” students are left to imagine what life would be like if one student had just vanished. A funeral is then held during the school assembly, with speeches from the student actors who were in the car crash, their parents, and what they would say if the situation was real. Overall, for many students, despite being aware of the reality of this stunt, are still moved and compelled to tears when seeing how a few deaths can change and affect the lives of so many people.
