Next week at Los Alamitos High School we will be having a spirit week to promote the homecoming dance. It will be the week leading up to the dance beginning on October 1st ending on the 5th. Monday the 1st is going to be nightmare day where students are to wear PJs. On Tuesday the 2nd students will wear a hat to “hide your brain.” So called wicked Wednesday will be crazy sock day and Thursday will be jersey day to show school spirit. Finally on October 5th, there is a  homecoming assembly so students are told to wear red.

The spirit week is to promote the upcoming homecoming dance. Spirit days are an excellent way to draw attention to the dance and promote school spirit. Participation in spirit days may not be mandatory, but they do promote the school and the dance. Having themed spirit days are great to bring out creativity and to show your support for your school. The spirit days go along with the theme of the dance, Haunted Homecoming, and can be a great way to have fun with your friends dressing up. Supporting our school is something we should all take part in, and dressing up for spirit days is an excellent way to do so.
