Los Alamitos Girls Soccer Beats Newport Harbour

Stats of the Game for Los Al Credit: Maxpreps

On Tuesday, January 14th Los Alamitos had a home non-league matchup against Newport Harbor and it was a pretty good game. This game was played at 5 P.M. and it was a rather cold one as temperatures were down to almost 55 degrees. The low temperatures and sub par weather conditions didn’t stop Los Al, however, as they played with loads of effort and with great communication. Stellar defense was played by Goalie and Team Captain Reezyn Turk as she and her team held Newport to 0 points. The final score of the game was four to zero and it is safe to say the player of the game, who had 3 goals, with most of them being made with her head, was senior Jayden Newkirk. I, being in the fan section of this game, had a very fun time watching our team play as I had plenty of friends I knew there, that like me, go to multiple Los Al Sporting Events.

Next week, along with girls soccer, Los Alamitos Winter Sports will be going in to a lot of league matchups and it is important to show up and support these games going on all of next week as these games are crucial to win league champs and even make it in to the Southern Section CIF Playoffs. Here are a few of next weeks big games: 1/21 Girls Soccer @Huntginton Beach 1/22 Boys Basketball @Newport Harbor 1/23 Girls Basketball VS Corona Del Mar
1/23 Girls Soccer VS Corona Del Mar
Those are some of the games of next week and I hope that the reader can make it out to watch some of these games. Go Griffins.
