Though a relatively new-breed, Goldendoodles have proven themselves through the past few years to be a family-friendly, loving, and worthy dog. The breed is one that typically weighs around fifty to seventy pounds, and are in a range from a White to red shade, though usually fall in the category of a golden-creamy color. They take their shades from their parents of golden-retrievers and standard-poodles, both of which are known for their good-nature and intelligence. Goldendoodles are great family pets because they’re known for their gentle-nature and friendliness, as well as the fact that they’re hypoallergenic.Though the dogs are a lovely breed, one must be aware of their health-issues. Goldendoodles who have American Golden-Retriever parents tend to have cancer issues around age seven or eight, when their lifespan is about twelve or thirteen years. If you’re considering buying a Goldendoodle from a breeder , be sure that the golden-parent is of English origin. As well as that, they’ve been known to have allergies to multiple different kinds of dog foods as well as hip problems. It’s important to take one’s dog to the vet as often as possible in order for early-screenings of such issues.
However, Goldendoodles continue to be sweet, adoring dogs, that are wonderful for families with young-children. The only issue with such a concept is the fact that they can jump on people when excited, though the breed is highly intelligent and therefore easily trainable. Therefore, at the end of the day, if their health-issues are taken into account (and one is not searching for a guard-dog), Goldendoodles make wonderful pets.
